Megacon Orlando 2026 Wraps Up With Lord of the Rings Reunion

Megacon Orlando wrapped up its 2026 edition this Sunday at the Orange County Convention Center. The four-day gathering closed out with a major focus on the 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings. Attendees got the chance to see the main hobbit actors together again for the first time since production ended. Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd headlined the weekend. They hosted a special panel Saturday night followed by a "Second Breakfast" event Sunday morning at the Rosen Plaza Hotel. Additional guests from the trilogy like Orlando Bloom and Liv Tyler also attended for photos and autographs. The convention featured over 75 celebrities from various sci-fi and fantasy series. Visitors left with access to exclusive sessions and memorabilia. The event proved to be a major stop for genre fans in Florida this March.
